Grace

Grace is our newest familymember. She stayed with us out of the litter we had with Mona. Grace is a special girl, we decided to keep her when we found out that she had problems with her urinary system; she had one kidney that doesn't function the way it should and her urethra ended where it shouldn't. So she had to have surgery as soon as possible. She had the surgery in July 2010. Everything went well and the vets were pleased that they could fix it all. 
Grace is a very happy, lively girl, despite her urinary problems. We still have to be careful, because as soon as she gets a bladder infection it could be that the infection spreads to her good kidney. Since she only has one kidney left, the smallest bladder or urinary related infection, it could be fatal. 
But, as I said, she's very happy, very playful, very present in the sense that she always wants to play or get attention. We love her heaps. Our cat, Shaggy, is her best friend. It's really funny how they play together!
